So what does all of this mean in terms of reductions of CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions? I’m curious to know if you cover that aspect. Reason being is with data centers on the rise and a corresponding increase in CO2 emissions in particular and GHG emissions in general, what it sounds like to me is with all this storage capacity, such could potentially (or maybe does) offset the data centers-driven CO2 and GHG-emissions increase. As best I can recall, I haven’t seen where anyone is correlating the two and putting this down in writing.

The way I think of it is that batteries enable further deployment of solar and wind for a lot of reasons. So they are an enabler of more clean energy. In that sense they help cut emissions. That's why you see a lot of stories focus on renewables and storage as a pair.

Thanks for reading and engaging!

I appreciate your taking the time to respond and for bringing the added perspective.

I learned about something new yesterday called the “SunTrain”. According to what I understand, the concept is still in the development phase. I’m guessing if all goes according to plan, this battery energy transport train could begin to be deployed by 2026.
